Bought these shoes to walk in and to train in. I'm a novice at training so thats to be understood as I make an effort to shed some pounds and improve my fitness level. These shoes fit well and offer good support. My only gripe is that I would like more ventilation as my feet do get hot after a few mile walk.

These are very comfortable shoes, and look good enough in black to be worn as dress shoes. I have.feet that are narrow at the heel and wide at the ball of the foot and across the toes, and feet are pretty flat. The wide size fits me perfectly, and supports my cent in all areas. I have had a number of New Balance walking shoes, another pair of cross trainers, and one pair of running shoes. I have found them to be the most comfortable shoes I can get with spending much more to have them specially made.

I bought a pair to replace an identical 2 year old pair that were excellent performers, but these do not fit. My toes are up against the toe box of the shoe. These are easily a size too small. I know New Balance updates these periodically without changing model numbers, but there's no excuse for being inconsistent with sizing. These are going back.

I wear these quite a lot, hence the "knock-around" label. They see moderate gym use, but they're mostly for street wear.
About what you should expect from a moderately priced shoe. These are my second pair of New Balance training shoes; probably a different model number, but almost identical in style. The others were about a quarter inch wider and comfortable. Suspect these will stretch out and be okay. The insoles are not of the highest quality, so you'll probably want to trade them out for after market.

I've been using V3's for a couple of years & not sure what's different about V4's but on initial wearing they feel great! They (V3s) last 6 months to a year depending on how much walking I do. Price on Amazon was really good!

I've been wearing them around the house but haven't been doing any serious walking in them yet. They feel very comfortable. The heel is hollowed out (to save money?) & the soles are slightly different.

I wear a size 12 and this shoe was too short, which is a shame because I have pairs of New Balance that fit just fine.

I have been buying this same NB shoe for a few years. Perfect fit, comfortable right out of the box. Definitely recommend. Just wish they were still made in the USA 🇺🇸. That was why I originally started with NB many years ago.

I have had these shoes a few days now and I am well satisfied with them. I am an older person and have been on walks up to about a mile and there has been no discomfort at all. They are great shoes.

Fits well in the 11 2 e for my husband. Bought this for a factory work shoe. He has had this style before and we will buy again as long as we don't experience the decrease in quality I've been reading about, but out of the box they seem as good as his previous version. Time will tell and I will update with any problems that he has with these shoes.

Love them so far, will see how they are in about 6 months though. The last 2 pair I bought through Amazon looked and wore nice for about 3 months and then fell all apart. Found out then, after close inspection that the New Balance (made in America) were actually made in Indonesia!!! Wasn't worth the money and time to send them back.

They look and fit like five star shoes, but unfortunately the front fabric shows creases and folds immediately after using. I try to treat my footwear well so it's a little disappointing to know that these won't last very long.

Boots are very cute, but they have a small stain on the toe, they feel thinner than some black Bailey bow ties, I just sent back to Zappos. They also came in a different box than the ones from Zappos, and they slouch by the ankle more also. I'm not sure that these are authentic Uggs.

Not warm enough... sad. So classy looking, and I could bend my feet as if I were in sneakers - very pliant and tractable; this is also their downfall, however. To allow for greater range of motion, insulation was sacrificed.

I really love these boots. They are really cute and they feel good on my feet but I do have one complaint. The top of the boot has a hard edge to it. I do lots of walking and it rubs on my shins causing them to get sore. The boots are not tight at all and have plenty of room at the top but it's that hard edge that digs into my legs. A knit boot topper will solve this or wearing skinny jeans tucked in. I was wearing boot cut jeans when this happened. As far as walking in them, they are comfortable on my feet. This is an easy enough fix for the top though and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

My girlfriend loved these boots, but after only 3 months of wearing them, they ripped and when I say ripped, I mean that the boot is torn from the sole. These are unwearable now after moderate use. For the price, I expected these would last a lot longer than they did.

would have given it a 5 star, but for 2 reasons. One: They are somewhat inflexible around the ankle. Perhaps in time the leather will soften. Two: the sole (interior footbed) is quite hard. I had to insert a shearling boot liner inside, on the sole. That did solve that issue. However, comparing them to my Uggs, the comfort issues aside, they seem to be worth the money. And the cost was less than 25 percent of the the Uggs. Considering that I had to spend money for the shearling in- soles, and the fact that they are stiff around the ankles, they were still a very good buy.

I love these boots... they are not only functional but totally comfortable. They have great arch support, are light, very cushioned insoles and have great traction. I read reviews on the lace up style inwhich people stated that they run large. With this I ordered a 9.5 when I usually wear a 10. This gave me a perfect fit for wearing with light socks for errands, shopping, and light work duties.
My only concern is they are suede and I wonder how they will stain or stand up to salt and slush. However for how comfortable they are I don't know that I will end up caring that much in the end.

Love, love, love these boots!! I'm 5'9 and ordered a size 9 in the Elk color and they fit perfectly. If you're looking for a fashion statement, these may not be the boots for you. They are a little on the "clunky" side but what they lack in statement they make up for in comfort and warmth. I ordered these for a ski trip to Colorado and wore these with thin socks, and without, for several hours out in the snow while I chased my toddler around from snowdrift to snowdrift. Amazingly, my feet didn't get cold or wet once!

This is my husband's second pair of ASICS. We got him a pair of FILA before, which were nice... but he definitely likes the ASICS better. Very comfortable, durable, provide good breathability and support, and -- as always -- they look sporty. We use them for everyday use, but also running and sports. Overall a fantastic shoe. We're never disappointed. We also love that they come in wide sizes, since we both have wide feet.

Great shoes! I use them at the gym, walking around the city, mountain hiking, and jogging around the block. The insoles wear out pretty quickly, but that might just be me. The soles of the shoes though are tough and last a long time.

I'm writing this review only hours after I got these boots, and I am SO excited to try them out outside in the cold weather! I'm in Madison, Wisconsin, and this week is going to stay in the 30's and even dip into the 20's (Fahrenheit!). I will update this review accordingly, and come back in a couple months to write details on durability when it comes to some real winter weather (hello blizzards and -20 degrees!!).

The first thing I noticed out of the box is that they don't have any weird smells, which is great. The outside smell faintly of leather, because that's what they're made of. I looked up the company, and Bearpaw's boots are outside = leather, inside = sheepskin. So if you're thinking about using these in snow like me, we need to waterproof these babies! Luckily I have a spray already to use on them.

The inside of these boots is SO SOFT. If I wore these barefoot (which you can, apparently, but for me - ew! I get sweaty feet), my feet would be in heaven. I tried wearing them with bare legs to see how soft it felt (because against your hands it doesn't feel that soft, it's got kind of a soft, but wooly feel to it) and against my legs it felt so fluffy and silky, so airy!! And warm!! None of the color (I ordered Chocolate) has transferred to my socks/pants. Awesome!

Also, from ALL the pictures I browsed through on the internet, none of them had any good views of the inner lining. I really wanted to judge how thick it was before I ordered, but since I couldn't find any good pictures, I just trusted the reviews saying that they're warm enough for really, really cold winters. And the lining is decently thick - I'd say it's about an inch thick, although over time it might get compressed a little with constant wear. The soles are a different color wool than the rest (it's white instead of chocolate), but still soft and fluffy. It feels like I'm walking on down pillows, mmmm! I put up several pictures of my boots if anyone is interested - of all angles, including the lining! Here is a link to my video of the boot:
        [...]

Some of the reviews said that after a month or two the lining starts wearing off and comes off on your clothes... The lining looks pretty well made, so I don't know if that will happen, but I will update this review if it does start coming off. Hopefully not... I am really loving these!

The bottom of the boots is made of really nice, sturdy but flexible rubber and I can see this really holding up for Wisconsin winters! So excited!! It's as thick as my other winter boots, so that's great news.

        SIZE:
I read so many reviews about what size to order, and it just got confusing. There were pretty much equal amounts of reviews telling you to order down a size, or order up a size. So I went to the Bearpaw website and they suggested ordering up a size...

I usually wear a 9.5 exact (no size 9, no size 10), so I decided to order a size 10. It makes sense, because there's a layer of fluff that you have to consider when you think about how much space there is for your feet. The size 10 fits me really well. When I first put them on, they seemed a tad bit small, but after walking around in them for a few hours, they're already form-fitting to my feet.

Basically: when you order, think about what your size would be when considering an extra inch of lining around your feet, and also remember that you don't want to order too large, because they do form around your feet after some use (that lining will be squished by your walking!). If you're a half size, order the next whole size like I did. I can't speak for people who have whole sizes because I didn't have that situation, but hopefully a size up won't be too big!

On an interesting side note, I think I remember that the Bearpaw website says you can wear these in any kind of weather - and I think that's just weird? How could you wear these on a hot summer day?? These are real winter boots and your feet would hate you for that, hah!

        **** UPDATE ************************ UPDATE ************************* UPDATE ******************************************
        January 2, 2014

So good news everyone! Turns out that the fur lining does NOT rub off on your clothes/socks. I think it kind of did like the second or third day I wore it (probably because it was getting broken in), but it wasn't even that much, and after that it has NEVER happened again. The color never has rubbed off on anything, even in the beginning.

So at this point I would DEFINITELY recommend that you DO NOT buy a size up if you can get your exact size. Only order a little up if you have a half size, just because they don't sell half sizes. After breaking them in they really form fit to your feet, so don't freak out if they feel a little tight when you first get them (it's just that the lining hasn't been squished by your feet yet - think of it like getting super fluffy slippers that mold to your feet).

The boot itself is holding up phenomenal, it's so worth the money! The rubber sole looks barely touched or scuffed or worn down at all and I've been wearing them daily since I got these (so mid-November til beginning of January at this point). I used them to walk to class every day (a mile or two) and I have been running and tramping through half a foot of snow with them. Waterproofing them helps them keep dry and also miraculously keeps all traces of salt stains off - they literally look like I just got them like last week, it's amazing.

As for the stitching on the sides - before I bought them I read some reviews saying that the thread has come apart on the stitching on the outside. So far for me, the stitching has been doing really great - I think there were a couple tiny fly aways at first but it's inconsequential to the strength of the stitches (holding up real well) and no more are occurring over time.

So finally the weather has been getting really cold here (this week we are getting -45 degrees Fahrenheit with the windchill factor and several inches of snow), and I never leave the house without these boots! Actually if I wear them inside the house my feet get too warm. These keep me warm no matter what I'm doing (hiking, walking on frozen lakes, walking through snow and wind). Because of these boots, I actually don't care about the weather outside anymore! I never worry about my toes getting cold, which was a HUGE problem with some of my other boots I've had over the years, because even though the boots were thick and sturdy on the outside (hard rubber or leather), they just didn't keep my toes warm. These are life savers for a Wisconsin girl in Winter!! I don't care about people who say they would never buy them because they look like uggs - I bought these for warmth and boy do they deliver. I have always gone for comfort when it comes to apparel and this is going to be a staple of mine if they don't discontinue these for the next few decades.

I bought these a few months ago, never dreaming I would wind up touring Russia in winter. In Siberia, it got as cold as -28F. These boots SAVED MY LIFE!! My feet often get cold, but they stayed toasty warm and dry in these, even when I walked through a patch of snow that reached my calves. And they still look GREAT, too!! Extremely well-crafted. These boots are one of the best purchases I have EVER made. They blow their competition out of the water. Recommend 100%.

This is my second pair of Bearpaw boots. My first ones were bought from an actual retailer and these came in the exact same packaging as my others. Even down to the shoe box inserts. They're super comfy and soft. I feel like this will become my new collection/addiction! Here are the ones I got in charcoal. Don't mind the odd angle of my legs haha

I have worn the shoe hardly 5 times. See the picture for it’s condition (left and right shoes). I realized this after walking into my office on a cold day. I am not expecting them to last long for the price of the product but I am not expecting cloth and rubber glued and send out either.

I just received my Chocolate Bearpaws. After reading some reviews, I was a little nervous about the size. I take a size 8 but in some cuts of shoe or boot I can take an 8.5. I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly! My feet were in heaven as soon as I put them on. I truly cannot tell the difference between these and the Uggs. Someone commented that there was no sheepskin fur on the insole where your foot rests. There sure is and it feels great. If I had gone a size up, which for me would have been a 9, it definitely would have been way too big. These fit the same as the Uggs, at least for me. Color was true to pic. I can't see spending a whole lot of extra money when these are just as good. Also, someone said that the other brands are made in Australia and Bearpaws is made in China. You better take a look again. They are ALL made in China. None of them are made in Australia! Some said that the outer skin of the others is sheepskin while Bearpaw if Cow leather. Well, yes, Bearpaw exterior is "Suede", not sheepskin. But "Suede" is more durable, in my opinion. Both are delicate materials. However, again read labels carefully on other known brands. They all say "Leather upper"....."sheepskin lining". None of them say "sheepskin upper" so I don't know. I have a feeling they are all the same. Bearpaw does make a fake suede and fake fur at a much lesser price. These (Emma short) is the real deal. I can't wait to sink my feet in these when the weather gets colder. My friend's "Bearpaws" held up better for her than her more expensive brand. For the money, this can't be beat. And remember, for all suede and sheepskin, you need to waterproof and stainproof them before using them in rain and snow. None of these brands claim to be waterproof or stainproof. They are suede in nature, after all. So you need to be careful. I will update again once I've gotten through the winter with them to let you all know how they held up. I will not be wearing them every day at the exclusion of all other shoes and boots so I plan to enjoy these for many years to come! Stitching and seaming seem to be the same as other brands as well. Can't go wrong for the money! Came quickly. Packaging was great. Got mine directly through Amazon, not third party merchant. Sometimes that can make a difference. When dealing directly with Amazon, I have never had a problem.

Bought these for my wife as an x-mas gift. fit was a bit tight in the shaft but stretched out after a few days. After 16 days they tore along the seam on the top of the boot...we put a white piece of paper in them to show the size of the tear they were worn very little not enough to tear so easy. the quality seemed well enough they seemed sturdy up to that point, also I might point out that it was an odd place for them to tear considering you pull them on it seems as though they would have ripped from the back. Amazon was wonderful as always made the return easy and issued a refund as soon as they received the item.

These boots lasted less than 3 months for me. I have bought this same pair before and they lasted at a minimum the entire fall/winter. But they have slits for grip on the soles and from standard use, the slits have split all the way into the cushion on the bottom of the boots. There is probably a better tread pattern than this one.

Update: I submitted a warranty request through Bearpaw on January 10th, they approved the request on 1/16 and now it is 1/25 and I still have no tracking number like it has shipped yet. It may have shipped and I just don't have it yet. But 2 weeks in Ohio winter with no wearable boots is annoying. I don't buy lots of extra shoes, I just buy what I need so I didn't have a backup expect heavy snow boots. I feel like I should have just bought another pair and wrote these off instead of getting the warranty request.

Ordered Jan.18 2016 received Jan. 21 2016 2weeks within the first time my daughter wore it started showing signs of peeling on the bottom of 1 of the boot I Ignored it thinking she might've stepped on something following the second time she wore it to school and came home as you can see from the second and last photo of what had happened I should've returned it with the first signs of the peeling which I gratefully ignored and now I'm stuck with a pair boots which is terribly ruined less than 45 days less then 4 x of used! Sadly this is not our first, second, or third pair of bear Bearpaw boots. I believe this pair which I received was stuck in storage for so long with hot conditions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got these boots yesterday. For the longest time I could not figure out what the big deal was about this type of boot. Before purchasing these I went into the UGG store and tried on a pair of their boots. With UGG and bear paw I really don't know the difference. You're basically paying for one brand over the other. If you are looking for practicality and comfort more than a label, this is the best bang for your buck! I like bear paw because they make half size shoes (I'm 9.5). I love these so much I bought one pair in gray and one in caramel color and both pairs combined are still way cheaper than one pair of UGGS. My first time wearing the gray ones, I wore them for 12 hours straight. They fit perfectly and true to size. I didn't have any discomfort or complaints and my feet were toasty warm all day in very cold weather. I am completely happy with my purchase!

Yes, buying shoes online can be a frustrating experience but I wasn't going to pay what they charge in store. These are an excellent deal, if only they fit. I read multiple reviews that said they fit true to size but were initially tight. My toes are still crammed after constant wear over a month. I can tolerate them on shopping trips and will wear them out around the yard but that's where it ends. They pinch my toes but are exceptionally cozy and warm. Minus my toes my feet would absolutely love these, they really do form to your foot. The material is very high quality. I wear a size 9 and sometimes that's too large depending on the manufacturer, especially in boots. I was disappointed because I wore them, expecting a break in period, so I cannot return. A ten on the other hand I tried on at a store for the heck of it and they were way too big. A 9.5 probably would have been perfect but alas, per usual, no half sizes online. Love the idea of the boots, my recommendation is if you are a half size, for example, 8.5 go up a half size to a 9 and you will love these boots. If you wear a regular size and go up a size, i.e.: from a 9 to a 10, they'll probably be too big. Obviously everyone has different feet but this would be my suggestion.

Box was damaged and boots looked like they've been sliding back and forth a lot, left scuffs on the bottom rim. I wear size 6.5-7 and got 6 this time. They are snug, but I'm sure they'll become looser with wear. Bought size 7 a year ago and after some wear they felt too loose. Quality seems good, but there isn't much overlap where the buttons are, it might let in cold air.

After wearing these boots to the airport for two flights- I can tell you these are the perfect cold-weather flying boots=Easy on/off at security and kept my feet warm while flying. The calf circumference measurement of 16" appears to be smaller than that, but with wear- it should stretch out some more. I have huge calves and was worried about the fit but seems to be okay due to the way the closures work. The elastic band gives quite a bit without feeling like it will break. The stitching across the top of the foot does create a weird pressure on the top of my foot but thick socks cushion it. The foot-bed is not as comfy feeling as my UGGS, but I would buy again.

After these arrived I wore them to store and compared them to the UGG brand. These are thicker and more stout than the UGG’s which keeps the top from folding down to show off the fur..... With The UGG’s... the fur inside and suede outside is one piece. There is no sewn seam to hold the liner and suede together.Because it is one piece the UGGS have more flexibility to allow for folding. With the Bearpaw brand. It is clear the suede and fur are separate and are sewn together adding to the thickness. This is why these boots don’t fold down easily to show off the fur. The lining puffs out when you fold the tops down....so if you are buying them for this purpose get the UGGs. My niece in her 20’s compared both and she really liked the UGGs flexibility. Is it worth the extra 90 dollars? You can be the judge of that. As far as the lining... the heal fur was thin and I noticed an inconsistency with the fur lining in both my BearPAWs and some of the UGGs in the store. It appears since it is a natural product your going to get inconsistent results. However as far as fur and suede between the brands they were hard to tell apart except for what I mentioned. That being said since the heals were thin on my pair, and I could not fold them down I gave them 3 stars. For an old girl like me I’m glad I saved the money. My sister and niece at first glance thought they were UGGs and my husband said I looked cute in my new boots. They are very comfortable and I don’t believe the UGGs can justify their price. BearPAWs are a good affordable alternative if you don’t care about name....

I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8. They fit perfectly. They are very warm and cozy whether I wear them with socks or not. I got my pair at a steal for only $17.00 but when I went back to order another pair (I wanted one for in the house as slippers and one for out and about) they had gone back up in price. They are definitely worth the higher price though.

I have had these for about a month now and they are still going strong even though I often end up doing my farm chores in them.... When I spill water on them it does not go through to my feet (I would probably still put the water proof spray on if you intend to wear them in wet environments for a long period of time though.)

My puppy chewed two toggles off (UGH!) - but I went to the bearpaw website and it turns out you can order replacements with no shipping charge. SO I really have nothing but good things to say about these boots. I have bought my daughter several pairs and they always hold up well. I am so glad that I finally decided to get a pair for myself!

I like these boots except next time I will order them without buttons on the side. They are easy to put on but the bottom button on the left boot had a large knot in the elastic that holds it on that wore a hole in my ankle skin the first time I wore them. I really wanted to post a good review. Sorry Bearpaws. I had tried a 9 on at a local store and they were great. Got such a great price on Amazon that I took off the button and resewed it on with strong thread. Waited for ankle wound to heal and now I'm wearing them in the snow. They are warm and comfy. I normally wear a 9. They are cute. A taller boot would have been handy this year with as much snow as we've all ready received.

I bought these boots to have something warm to wear to work, since our office building is very old and drafty. While they serve their purpose of keeping me warm, the shaft looks like banana peels being pulled back. I guess if I just stood in them and didn't walk the boots would not flare out as they do. But we all know we cannot get through any day just standing in 1 place and never taking a step. I should have just bitten the bullet and bought the other, more expensive brand. I've only owned them for like 2 months and have worn them about once a week. They look like untied combat boots where the sides and tongue fold out and down. Not impressed whatsoever with the style. I've even thought about getting a giant stapler to keep them more together/secure, but that's pretty lame to do. This will be my 1st and last pair of Bear Paws.

My daughter loves these boots. Value and comfort for sure! She had one pair for about 2 years until they wore out.

When I bought her a new pair in gray a few weeks ago I noticed that depending on color and size, the price varied. No problem, I get it is a matter of supply and demand. The ones I ordered were $43.

Then last week I also ordered another pair in black, and the price was just over $50. Not a problem, I felt it was still a great deal. I finalized placing the order, then today I went back on Amazon to check the delivery status,. I found that my order had disappeared, the boots were now moved to my "wish list" and the price was up to about $83. What's up, Amazon? - How can the price go up over $23 AFTER the order has already been placed? I cry foul about this. The boots were advertised at the $50 price, I ordered them at that price and the order should have been fulfilled.

I would love to give these 5 stars. They are cute, versatile boots, look very warm, arrived quickly. But they are just too small for me. If you have a wide foot like me, beware. I have a wide left foot (ok, cankle) from edema. Couldn’t even get the left one on. I’ve had other brands that come in wide width that fit great. These don’t come in wide width. I saw they ran a bit big in some reviews & took a chance. My bad. Just putting this rating out there for anyone like me who might be considering these. Everyone else, you will love them! I really was looking forward to them & really wished they fit! :( Even considered keeping them, just in case, but had to return). Hope they fit all who buy! :)

Just got my blue Bearpaw in, came in earlier than expected, packaged well. Brand new in the box great quality. The buttons are not just for looks they do function so that you can fold your boots down. I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8 they are snug, but it's recommended that you order your normal size as they do stretch a bit. I have been walking around the house in them for a few hours and they are starting to get a bit looser. Definitely a good investment as I won't need to buy more boots for a few winters.

I'm a recent convert to this style of shoe, but I work in a really casual office that's FREEZING and needed something comfortable and warm - these are so perfect, they're my new favorite winter boot. Suede is great quality, as is the Sherpa lining.

Sizing Note: I've read many reviews that stated they got the shoe way too big, and others recommending that you go to Bearpaw's website to figure out the correct size - both of those points are incorrect. Bearpaw recommends sizing 1-2 sizes UP because of the thick lining of the shoe - I believe that's why people are mistakenly ordering the wrong size.

I went with another reviewer who suggested to order a size down because the lining will pack in around your foot and you'll end up with more room - so thankful for that suggestion - I'm a 6.5, ordered a 6 - the first few days of wear, yes the shoes were tight - but sure enough the lining has packed inside and they now fit perfectly - there's actually enough room for me to put an insert in these so I have more arch support.

Cozy boots for Alaska winters and great price compared to similar products. I have like 5 pairs of bear paw boots and these are my least favorite though. The And? They're not treated with waterproof stuff. Boo. Also, the soles have NO traction whatsoever... what the heck is that all about? Also, since they don't come in half sizes, I had to get them a whole size bigger to allow for fluffy socks. But this causes the support inside the shaft of the boot to dig into the back of my heel. The Good? I have bunions and the toe box is generous and doesn't squash my tootsies. Gray is a fairly unusual boot color to begin with, but these are awesome cause they are exactly the right color to match pretty much and shade of gray. I love that the lining is also gray. Overall recommended.

The first time I ordered these I had to send them back and get a size up because they were WAY TOO SMALL. Like my foot was squished and my calf was suffocated. I'm normally a size ten so I ended up getting these in a size 11 and they were way better. The calf was still a little tight though so if you don't have super skinny calves either then you may even want to go two sizes up. The packaging I received the boots in was terrible- like went through a shredder and survived terrible. I have a feeling it may have been because it wasn't through prime shipping when I got these? I don't know. I think in the description it tells you that these shoes will stretch- they don't - what you feel is what you get, so make sure they feel good. My boots are still in really good quality and I have worn them periodically over the last few months and they've held up really well. They are super cute too so I'm overall happy that I got them.

So far, so good. I have mostly been wearing them around my house and for Quick trips outside. They are much higher quality than I was expecting given the reviews but they seem really well stitched, sturdy, and I love that they have rubber soles. I bought a 7 which is what I usually wear and they fit comfortably with socks and there's just a little extra room if you're not wearing socks. The boot fits comfortable around my calves (14in at widest point), not too snug or lose (I can fit my hand in there). I also waterproofed them using a spray and have not noticed a huge difference in color so that is nice. Happy to have these for winter, Will update if anything changes .

Update: After only occasional light wearing, think quick trips outside with dogs and one wear to work, some stitching on the outside of the boot has started to come undone and the fabric has become loose :( Disappointinh after such a short amount of time and very little wear. They are otherwise very comfortable and warm!

These are my fourth pair of Bearpaw boots. The last two pairs I had last me a few years before I decided they weren't acceptable to wear outside of the house anymore lol. These boots are super comfortable and plush when you first buy, but the inner sole does start to wear away after a while and it just feels flat in the shoe, not plushy and soft. One the up side, the rest of the shoe wears like your favorite pair of jeans each time you wear them. They definitely keep your feet warmer than a pair of sneakers or flats and are stylish to boot. I'm glad that Bearpaw decided to get rid of the metal logo hardware that they used to put on the back of the heel and the side of the boot. My hardware came off all of my boots and looked so tacky. I probably could have gotten another year out of those if it wasn't for that. I love this company and these boots, and will definitely be buying a few more pairs.

As an aside: Buy the super hydrophobic spray LiquidOff to preserve the suede on these. You won't regret it and they sell it on Amazon.

The product is great! However the packaging appeared to be nice at first since the boots came in their "bear paw" box, but when I opened the box not only did I find the shoes, but I received an additional half-empty bag of chips.
The ship crumbs were all over the shoes! Gross! I was able to wipe the chips off... But why?

BEARPAW is a quality boot and a cost effective alternative to UGG (for my 8 year old daughter).
We have been buying them for a few years now, 1~2 pairs per season.
We loved the color of these boots but unfortunately they are too small and not the size 5 that we ordered.
In the photo I placed them heel to heel with a locally bought size 5 BEARPAW boot.

Shoe looks trashed after less than 2 months of wear. Heel area had a faux stacked look-- actually just covered in paper! The paper is all torn and peeling, and the material underneath is very unattractive. These are now basically junk.

Another data point on sizing: I wear 11.5 in most shoes. I bought the 11 and the 12 to see which worked best for me (with the inserts). The 11 fit snugly with just a pair of regular athletic socks - a little room at the heel but pretty tight around the toes. The 12 was somewhat loose with just these socks but not uncomfortably so.

With a thicker sock (Dickies brand heavyweight crew) AND the thinner athletic sock (Puma), the 12 fits perfectly. The 11 is too snug. However, with just the thick socks, the 11 is perfectly snug (which you want in boots since they lack the ankle support that laced shoes provide) and the 12 still has a little too much room. Since the boots are so warm already, I don't want to wear more than the heavyweight crew socks for fear my feet will sweat too much. So, the smaller or larger size could be right for you if you are a half-size - just depends on what type of socks you are going to wear. I went with the 11s.

Great concept but I'm soooo disappointed in the sizing of these. My son wears a size 7 right now so I got these in a size 8 hoping he will have a little room but the warm insert in these was at best a size 5!!! I ultimately took the warm insert out (which defeats the whole purpose of buying these shoes) and we now just use these for waterproof quality with three pairs of socks for warmth. Without the insert there is plenty of room and they seem to be a true 8. So I would say the flaw is in the design... If I was to get the size that would fit my son's foot with an insert, his feet would look gigantic... given he is 3.5 years old he would probably end up falling all the time.

Bought for my 3 year old son in size 8. Tough getting his feet in and he screamed and stomped until I took them off. He said they hurt and he’s not usually picky about his feet. The felt insert does not come fully together in the front of the boot allowing part of the inside unfinished boot to touch the leg. Right where the rubber foot meets the canvas upper there is a rubber seam the sticks out pretty far into the inner boot - right at the bend of foot to chin. I’m wondering if this is what caused so much discomfort for him. Returned and ordered Tundra boots which he had and loved but out grew.

Perfect fit. My son wears a 13 little boys size shoe and that’s what I got and they fit perfect with room to grow with thick socks. Great quality! Rated for -40 degrees. Not tested at that temperature but they kept my son’s feet warm and dry! I purchased Lands End brand last year and he came home every day with wet feet. I bought these mid winter last year and was so happy that I am buying them again for this winter. I was happy with the draw string to cinch them in to keep snow from entering the top!

I LOVE these shoes. Since my pregnancy, my feet and sciatic nerve have not be the same. I am a teacher, so I am on my feet A LOT! Since purchasing these shoes, I have hardly had any issues with my feet, lower back, or sciatic nerve. The support in this shoe is excellent. If you have any kind of feet issue, I highly recommend these shoes. AND, they are really cute, too!

I really like these boots for my kids. 7 year old son has red and 9 year old daughter has pink. They hold up really well. Her feet are actually sweaty hot when she comes in from hours in the snow. His are slightly chilled but I think that is just him - they are honestly the first boot he's had that he hasn't complained about his feet being cold - including a pair of UGGS snow boots I had found him last year. They hold up really well. I've gotten two seasons out of my daughter's and they look brand new. I don't know if you can wear them all day comfortably because my guys don't make it much past 2-3 hours in the snow. I don't know about the arch support, they just don't complain about these ever which is a big step!

I love my shoes! They are very supportive, especially around the ankle area, but still have enough room in the toes to be comfortable even when walking down hill. These are good shoes to wear all day long, even after a workout. I wear them with light weight socks. Usually, my shoes are size 8.5 to 9; these shoes are size 9.5.

When I received these and tried them on, I was going to return them because they felt too tight. But then I tried them again, and after the "fur" lining settled down a little, they were absolutely perfect. I have to mention that for most of my life, I've worn size 9 shoes, but in the past few years I've bought size 10, because my feet have apparently expanded. So I bought these in a size 10. They are easy to put on and take off, and I often wear them all day. I'm not sure if they have an actual arch support, but the thick lining makes my feet comfortable anyway. The price was excellent, too.

They seem to be pretty well waterproof, but if I walk through a mud puddle, the dirt sticks to them and I have to brush it off when it dries - it doesn't slide off like it would on a really waterproof boot. But I haven't put any waterproofing spray on them either (another money saver).

They're a great investment, and I highly recommend them.

These are perfect little boots for fall! They can be folded down to wear as booties, or worn up as the picture shows. They are pretty warm, the "fur" on the inside is very soft, and the rubber soles are nice (although they will get wet in the snow still) for wearing these outside. I ordered a half size up so that I could wear bigger socks with them and they fit perfectly. I could wear these shoes all day and not have any problems with pain or them being uncomfortable.

I did receive these boots at a discount for my unbiased review, but I will probably buy the other colors soon!

Not a bad boot for the price. I wear them a lot. They are very comfortable. The only problem I found was how loose they are around the leg. Even with pants tucked in them there seems to be a lot of room left still. If I wear leggings with them forget it. It looks kind of ridiculous how big they are around my ankle and the top of the boot as well. The buttons and elastic holding them "closed" is merely design and serves no purpose whatsoever. I even doubled up the elastic around the button and it didn't make much difference at all. If you don't mind that sort of thing then by all means get them. The shoe size is right and the tread is thick.

Waited nearly 3 years to but Ariat boots - these particular boots are PERFECT! Tons of toe room - rounded toe is plenty wide enough for wiggle room. Stitching is gorgeous! Where stitching of leather meets the ankle I had serious rubbing issues. When viewed from the front, the sides of the boot tapered in at the ankles. I stuffed paper inside the boot at that exact spot to get rid of the convex way the boot was originally, and after 2 days the sides of the boot were reshaped to be perfectly straight at that seam - no more rubbing. I purchased sole inserts at the same time I purchased the boots, but the boots are so comfy I didn't need them! I live in south Florida and was warned that boots would be sweltering. These are perfect because they breathe and they are short. Buy these boots and you will be seriously happy!

This particular boot is a light brown suede and the fit is large. I’m one of those 10 1/2 size women’s size so it’s tricky with Ariat boots. Some 11s will fit fine and 10s are too small. In this case, the 11s were too big and the 10s were perfect. If you love the style and wish they were a tad darker, just use some mink oil on them to protect them and they turn to a nice shade of brown. I love Ariats, but it is a challenge to find a great fit. In this case, I hit the jackpot! Here’s a picture after I used mink oil on them. Perfect shade and perfect fit!!!

I read all the reviews and people saying to go up a size because the toe box ran small. I have wide feet, so I upped from my regular size of 6.5 to a 7. I wish I hadn't. Although the shoes still "fit" they feel EXTRA roomy in the toe box, and I would have preferred that I had my true size.

Other than the sizing thing, they are a great looking shoe and comfortable. I love the grey and mint color scheme.

These boots are the bomb. My husband was shredding much more expensive boots in less than 6 months. The ramp on his truck was like a cheese grater on the soles. These boots have held up really well. He's had them over 6 months now and there's no sign that they will need replaced any time soon. He did mention that they were a bit hard to break in, as pretty much all boots are. There's not much arch support, so insoles are recommended. Still, awesome boot for the price. There's a reason that CAT has been making this exact boot for decades now.

I needed a good steel toe work boot to wear outside in the elements all year around. I live in Chicago and work outside at O'Hare Air Port. I've only had them for just over a month but can say they are worth the money. These are not winter boots, but can be warn in cold weather, if wearing thick wool socks and using foot warmers.

        Pros
        - Very comfortable once you break them in.
        - Nice looking and goes with everything
        - Steel toe
        - Has a removable soft sole insert
        - Heavy duty stitching
        - Thick leather body thats flexible and doesn't crack
        - Holds in heat when needed and allows heat to escape to prevent feet from sweating
        - Heavy in weight, which equals to a well made boot
        - Water resistant

        Cons
        - Don't have any for now

I love these shoes. Like, I'm in love! They look so cute on and my feet are warm and they are stylish but relaxed. The fur around the top isn't too much and the shoe is lined with cotton. I'm in Texas and don't need a snow boot but I believe these are water proof at least up to the first stitching. The only thing I did because I'm older and not cool enough to let the leather laces just swing. Yes, the laces are genuine leather. So, this shoe has a zipper for easy on and off but also the leather laces aren't meant to be tied and that makes it easy on and off. I tied a small knot in the leather lace right by the ring so the shoes wouldn't ride super loose. I feel like someone younger might like that kind of thing but I like my ingenuity. I also tucked in the free swinging leather pieces into the other pieces (picture below). Tying the leather laces aren't an option, that would look hideous.

Worst running/walking/workout shoes I have ever worn. The inside of the show is made with a foam that does not breathe. The seams are jagged and if the shoes are worn without socks cause irritation immediately and blisters quickly. They have zero traction, I have slipped many times. They also have virtually no support. After wearing these for four weeks for evening walks my lower back and feet can take no more. I can’t return them but hopefully can warn you against buying them.

        Updated review:
Holy hell, these boots are GARBAGE. I've had them for a little over three weeks, I wear them maybe twice a week to my office job where I sit at a desk all day, and I live in southern California where there is absolutely no rain or bad weather - and the verdict? THESE BOOTS WENT TO s***. The leather is all bent and warped, the seams are fraying, they are horribly distressed looking. They look like boots I've beaten the s*** out of for ten years and never cared for. I have several other brands of boots that I have resoled over and over again over the years and have had professionally cleaned and maintained. These boots will fall apart years before the sole needs repair. How is it that the rest of the boot falls apart in three weeks, when the sole has only encountered only a couple of miles of wear? They look like trash. I would give them zero stars if I could. DO NOT BUY.

        Previous review:
Giving 4 stars for now but I've only worn them for 2 days so TBD. There is already a LOT of wear and tear just from wearing them for two days to my office job. Knicks all over the leather. Creases in front of the ankle. A thread hanging off the back. They are DAMN nice looking boots though. I'm hoping that the fast wear and tear is designed to give them character, because overall they feel like a great quality boot. So far I'm pleased, but like I said: TBD.

These boots are really cute and look great but they have not held up well at all. After about 2 weeks of normal (and not daily) wear (errand running, dropping kids at school) the color has worn off the heel area of the boot. I'm disappointed since these weren't the cheap. A few weeks in and these look like an old beat up pair of shoes

I loved the launch 2's but I had issues with the 3's. The 3's were way more narrow and toe box felt smaller which resulted in the shoes constantly rubbing my toes. This model is just as good if not better than the 2's ( in my opinion.)

I am an avid runner and have tried many many different types and brands of shoes but always want to run in these. Super light weight and springy. I love the 4's please don't change them!

        Update 2-7-17
Still loving these shoes. Logged about 30 miles so far. I am however starting to get blisters on my heels due to the backs rubbing my heel constantly. I think I'll try different socks to see if it helps but over all great shoes!

        *Update 2-17-17*
Switched my socks to ones with "tabs" in the back. This has helped me personally with the shoe rubbing my heel causing minor blisters. Still loving this model SO much I am thinking of getting a 2nd pair for back up. Please don't change a thing Brooks!

Update: I've been wearing these in rain (and some snow) for about two months now and thought I'd share an updated photo.

Love these boots. I ordered my usual size, and they fit just right. I live in the Pacific NW so I applied Sno-Seal to mine to prevent the type of water damage I saw in a photo posted by another reviewer. Sno-Seal always darkens the leather, but I actually prefer the slightly darker color. The boot on the left has been Sno-Sealed, the boot on the right has not.

The boots are well made, clean molds and nice details. I read the reviews and notice 50% said it fits well and 50% said its too large. What wasn't explained is the 1/4" felt wrapped in the boot (the lining everyone was mentioning). The misconception was a inner lining usually meant a cotton polyester fabric. Any how, 1/4" wrap around means an 1/2".

I wear a size 9, the size 9 boot was a nice fit with the felt wrap around my ankle but was very loose above the ankle. I'm have large calves from running but there was still a lot of room which is probably great for stuffing your jeans.

My preference is without the felt. I'm a size 9, It is better to go with a size 8 for a nice fit with adverage to thick socks, or 7.5 for sneaker fit with thin socks. Put it this way, if your feet sweat, get the 8, if they don't get the 7.5.

VERY NARROW sent back looks like a cheap spring break up boot with a really nice liner
For the price I wish I could have kept them the length seamed right for the size
But the width was like putting my foot in a vice if you have narrow feet probably OK
Also if you can endure till the liner forms to your foot Wish I could have found some in
A wide width Can't find anything on Amazon they sell medium sized width
With the liner they need to be made wider

I bought these when I have to get near the ocean water when it's cold in San Francisco when I do metal detecting. The opening can be closed snug so the water waves will have a harder time going in. The fit is just slightly big, just the way I want it for comfort. The padding and knot will keep my feet from coming out too. I have cheap water boots that is made for the same purpose but with those, a high wave will certainly come in easily.

I am not one who writes reviews on anything I purchase. But this is an exception. I spend a lot of time on my feet and they tend to give me problems like planters phascitis. I have a narrow heel and an average width ball of my foot and I have never in my 47 years had a shoe fit this well. I have a high arch and the shoe has plenty of support and cushion for me. I usually bought aisics and wore a size 8.5. I ordered the same size in Brooks and that was perfect. I would have room for an insole if I needed it but I don't and it's still great. In a dress shoe I were a 7.5 if that helps any. By the way...it looks great on your foot on top it all.

Arrived super fast and I like that these shoes come in a hard case. What I don't like is the price, they seem to expensive (1st year cheer mom here) for what little of a shoe they are. My daughter is 9 so is growing quickly and I worry about having to buy a few pairs of these a year ot keep up. Very lightweight and material makes me nervous that they wont last. We have decided to just wear them for competition and for occasional practice just before competition to try and preserve them as long as possible. So far she has had them 2 months and they still look brand new. Not an outside shoe, only for indoor use.

I purchased these boots because and also purchased a pair of short UGG boots from Kohl's ( cinder color) that they had just gotten in. Although a cute color, I was hoping they would've had the same style but in chestnut or light color which is the most versatile color. I found these, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I purchased these and returned the UGGs. They fit me just right and feel just like the UGG. I'm a size 8 but wide calf, hence the short boot, and I was skeptical and thought maybe I should go with a 9 to make sure. I went with an 8.5 and it fits just right. No sliding back and forth from being too big ( like a size 9) but enough room to wiggle my toes even with regular socks. I also know from experience that this is temporary, being snug, because the lining is fluffy and new. Once I've worn them for a while, the lining will accommodate to the shape of my foot. I have to say, I really really like this product all around and, so far, have no negative remarks. Time will tell and hence why I'm wearing them every day.

This review is for Bearpaw Women's Rosie boot.
First a lot of reviews I read before buying these boots said to buy a size up, I do not suggest doing that. I have multiple shearling boots made by different companies and I wear my normal size in all of them. The boots may feel a little tight when you first get them but that is a good thing because they will stretch out a bit with wear.
Okay now on to the boot itself! I really like the style of these boots, and they look very cute on. I like the button detail and the band that loops around the button feels very sturdy which is great because I was a little worried about it being flimsy. The sole on these is awesome! They feel sturdy and tough, more like a real sole and not that almost spongy / cardboard like material that my Ukala's and apparently some Ugg's have as well. I got the "Emerald" color, which I completely love! It is a nice forest green and goes well with so many colors. These boots are warm and comfortable and they feel very well made, I think they will last me for a very long time. I would highly recommend these boots as well as other Bearpaw boots, I know I will be buying more!

I have another pair so I knew that being a 7.5- 8 normally... I needed a size 7 because after wearing them for awhile... they will become big once the inside has had time to conform to your foot. I love my BEARPAWs and will order another pair in the future.

I have terrible plantar fasciitis in my right foot and have to work on my feet all day. These shoes have helped tremendously. The cushioning is great and they fit very well.

I have an extremely active three year old. She is in her third pair of these. They are great. She grows out of them before they fall apart. As an added bonus, they look much cooler than many of the other kids shoes.

I’ve been buying Brooks Ghost for YEARS! They are light-weight and good for my “toe running”. The past two years and this year especially they seem to be cheapening their shoes. I almost thought this was a fake. The logo is painted on as are other features. I am working on breaking them in. I hope the run won’t suffer as the design qualities have.

I needed a shoe that was just one size wider than a D. I also needed a comfortable shoe for walking. I'm retired and walk ten miles a day for exercise. This shoe met both needs perfectly. My only question is how well they will hold up to that kind of usage. This is my first pair of New Balance. In the past I've worn running shoes designed for long wear. Only time will tell, but goodness these are comfortable.

Fit perfectly; very soft and comfortable and roomy in the toes. I'm a diabetic and like it that way. They are called "Squish" and may be too much so for some people; try one pair first and see if it's for you.

I meant to order a size 11.5 2E but accidentally ordered 11 2E. Turns out these fit perfectly. Shoes are light and comfortable. Plenty of toe room. And great for walking and shopping. They're like slippers around the house. They do lack lateral support so they wouldn't be good for tennis, basketball, hiking, etc. But they are good walking shoes for the price.

After starting a lot of walking recently I decided to buy my 1st pair of walking shoes. Didnt need anything professional or expensive so after seeing Karrimor in Sports Direct I tried a few on. Regarding size I find the Karrimor range bigger than I was expecting, so when ordering from Amazon I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear and they fit fine with thick socks on. Overall the shoes are comfortable if anything just a bit narrow for me at the front but they are getting more comfortable each time I wear them, so hopefully they have stretched. Lastly I was going to get the Karrimor Hot Rock shoes which were a similar price but after reading the reviews I got put off and bought these due to the excellent overall reviews. Overall very happy with these for the price.

These shoes are just fab if you have a boy's boy! My son, aged 9, can literally wear through a pair of shoes in no time but these shoes are sturdy, waterproof (to a certain degree) and great for lunchtime sports and running around! Can recommend these shoes enough. They do come up fairly big or should I say generous / spacious in size but my son likes that.

Always been a generous wide fit. Had several pairs of savage over the years, but these were too small and narrow. Returned was no problem.

For a size 5 boys this shoe is far too tight, ok for girls maybe, it gives no room at all for normal size 5, it's a good sold sho though, but should be wider

The perfect lightweight shoe. Your feet are kept cool by the ventilating holes and they are most comfortable to wear.

I expected more room in a size 10 W. My toes are right at the front of the boot. However, the boot is suppose to stretch some.
In the future I'll have to get still another size larger. Otherwise, it is fine.
